CLIENT | Pacific Peoples Partnership | Paddle 4 Pacific
Celebrate World Oceans Day by raising awareness and support for Pacific Indigenous cultures and communities.
In partnership with Pacific Peoples’ Partnership (PPP), we were responsible for developing, designing and executing a number of marketing deliverables for Paddle 4 Pacific. It was an event to raise awareness and funds for PPP, an organization supporting the aspirations of South Pacific Islanders and Indigenous peoples for peace, environmental sustainability, social justice and community development.
The visual concept is based on the reaction of a paddle moving through water, creating circular currents known as eddies. This is the visual anchor for all the promotional material. The colours range from cool to warm to represent the North and South Pacific ocean.

THE LOGO MARK
Working with P4P we went on a search to find talented Haida artists to approach and work with us in the development of the brand imagery.
Heywood & Beaudry Creative and the The Pacific Peoples’ Partnership and the P4P team would like to thank and acknowledge the contributions of Haida artist Ernest Swanson and Fijian artist Jeke Lagi for their collaborative work on the design mark.
Ernest’s Ovoid and salmon egg design represents the Pacific Northwest while the Koru or curl by Jeke represents the South Pacific.
The designs come together to represent the diverse yet connected peoples, cultures and geographies that make up the Pacific Ocean.
